Terms & Conditions for applicants and service users

1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
“Customer” means any person or business making a booking with Y Logistics.
“Services” means the parcel and logistics services provided by Y Logistics.
“Contract” means the legally binding agreement between you and Y Logistics for the provision of Services.
“Website” means any website operated by Y Logistics where Services may be booked or reviewed.

1.2 These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between the Customer and Y Logistics. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

2. How the Contract is Formed

2.1 A Contract is formed once Y Logistics confirms a booking request via email or online confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.

3. Price and Payment

3.1 All prices provided are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Payment must be made in full before Services are provided unless agreed under a separate account agreement.
3.3 Y Logistics reserves the right to change pricing based on incorrect information, route changes, or additional Services requested.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 Customers must provide accurate collection and delivery information and ensure parcels are securely packaged.
4.2 Customers must not send any prohibited, illegal, hazardous, or dangerous items without prior written consent.

5. Delivery

5.1 Deliveries are made based on the agreed time slots but are not guaranteed unless specified.
5.2 If delivery cannot be made due to incorrect information or inaccessible locations, Y Logistics reserves the right to charge re-delivery or return fees.

6. Cancellation

6.1 Bookings may be cancelled subject to charges:
– 25% fee for cancellations after confirmation
– 50% on the day of collection
– 100% after vehicle dispatch
6.2 Refunds will be processed within 14 days where applicable.

7. Liability and Indemnity

7.1 Y Logistics is not liable for loss or damage arising from customer error, improper packaging, or events beyond our control.
7.2 Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the value of the goods or £1,300 per tonne, whichever is lower.
7.3 Claims must be made in writing within 14 days of delivery.

8. Data Protection

8.1 We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. For more information, refer to our Privacy Policy.

9. Force Majeure

9.1 We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our control including weather, strikes, or technical failures.

10. General Terms

10.1 These Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time.
10.2 Contracts are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
